Set up your wallet for trading on Atract.

What is Hyperliquid?

Hyperliquid is a high-performance Layer 1 blockchain optimized for derivatives trading. It offers:

  • Fast execution (sub-second confirmation)

  • Low fees (< $0.01 per trade typically)

  • Native USDC settlement

  • On-chain perpetual futures

Atract uses Hyperliquid for all trading execution and vault smart contracts.

Prerequisites

  • Web browser (Chrome, Brave, or Firefox recommended)

  • Email address

  • USDC (for trading/funding)

Step 1: Install a Compatible Wallet

Choose one of these wallets:

Option A: MetaMask (Recommended)

  1. Visit metamask.io

  2. Click Download and install the browser extension

  3. Follow the setup wizard to create a new wallet

  4. IMPORTANT: Write down your seed phrase and store it securely

Option B: Rabby Wallet

  1. Visit rabby.io

  2. Download and install the extension

  3. Create a new wallet or import existing seed phrase

Option C: Other EVM Wallets

Any EVM-compatible wallet should work (Coinbase Wallet, Trust Wallet, etc.)

Step 2: Add Hyperliquid Network

Testnet (for testing)

Add network manually in your wallet:

  • Network Name: Hyperliquid Testnet

  • RPC URL: https://rpc.hyperliquid-testnet.xyz/evm

  • Chain ID: 998

  • Currency Symbol: USDC

  • Block Explorer: https://explorer.hyperliquid-testnet.xyz

Mainnet (for real trading)

  • Network Name: Hyperliquid

  • RPC URL: https://rpc.hyperliquid.xyz/evm

  • Chain ID: [To be added]

  • Currency Symbol: USDC

  • Block Explorer: https://explorer.hyperliquid.xyz

Note: When you connect to Atract, it will prompt you to add the network automatically.

Step 3: Get USDC

For Testnet

  1. Visit the Hyperliquid Testnet Faucet

  2. Enter your wallet address

  3. Request test USDC (free)

  4. Wait 30-60 seconds for delivery

For Mainnet

You'll need real USDC. Options:

Bridge from other chains:

  1. Visit Hyperliquid Bridge

  2. Connect your wallet

  3. Select source chain (check bridge for supported chains)

  4. Enter amount of USDC to bridge

  5. Confirm transaction

  6. Wait for bridge confirmation (~10-30 minutes)

Purchase directly: Some exchanges may support direct USDC deposits to Hyperliquid.

Step 4: Verify Your Setup

Check that everything is working:

  1. Open your wallet

  2. Switch to Hyperliquid network

  3. Verify you see your USDC balance

  4. Visit atract.app

  5. Click Connect Wallet

  6. Approve the connection request

  7. You should see your wallet address and USDC balance

If all steps complete successfully, you're ready to use Atract!

Troubleshooting

Wallet won't connect

  • Make sure you're on the Hyperliquid network

  • Try disconnecting and reconnecting

  • Clear browser cache and refresh page

  • Try a different browser or wallet

Don't see USDC balance

  • Check you're on the correct network (testnet vs mainnet)

  • Verify the transaction on the block explorer

  • Wait a few minutes and refresh

Bridge transaction stuck

  • Check bridge status page

  • Bridges can take 10-30 minutes

  • Contact bridge support if stuck for >1 hour

Transaction failing

  • Check you have enough USDC for gas fees

  • Verify RPC URL is correct

  • Try increasing gas limit in wallet settings

Security Best Practices

Protect your seed phrase:

  • Never share it with anyone

  • Store it offline (written down, not digital)

  • Never enter it on any website except your wallet

Use hardware wallets:

  • For large amounts, consider Ledger or Trezor

  • Provides extra security for your private keys

Verify URLs:

  • Always check you're on the correct website

  • Bookmark official sites

  • Be wary of phishing attempts

Start small:

  • Test with small amounts first

  • Verify everything works before large transfers
